The part nobody else puts on a page
Our billing promise
Five commitments, written plainly. Each one is enforced by code rather than by intention, and each one is checkable from your own account page.
1. The renewal price is the biggest thing on the paywall
Not a footnote, not grey, not below the fold. The design system has a type size reserved for it so it cannot quietly shrink in a redesign. Today, that sentence reads: “$1.00 today for 7 days, then $44.99 every 4 weeks. Cancel anytime.”
2. We email you 24 hours before every charge
Every charge, not just the first. It is a scheduled job that runs against the subscriptions due to renew, and each notice carries a direct link to the cancel page. If you ever get charged without that email arriving first, tell us and we will refund it.
3. Cancelling takes two clicks
From the web and from the app. Click “Cancel my subscription”, then confirm. There is no retention offer, no survey, no discount that appears when you reach for the button, and no phone number you have to call. Cancelling never removes time you have already paid for — access runs to the end of the period.
Go to your subscription4. Your statement will say SELENE
One word, and it is our name. You will never have to search the internet for an unknown merchant string to find out who took the money.
5. The first charge is refundable for 72 hours
On request, for any reason, without a discussion. Write to help@heyselene.app with “refund” in the subject line.
What you will never see here
- A countdown timer. There is no offer that expires.
- “Only 3 spots left” or any other invented scarcity.
- A cheaper price that appears when you try to leave the page.
- Pay-what-you-want anchoring — the technique where four amounts are shown next to a claim about costs so that the middle one feels generous.
- A subscription hidden inside what was presented as a one-time purchase.
These are not stylistic preferences. They are the specific practices that regulators in this category are currently litigating over, and the reason this page exists is that we would rather be the company that publishes its terms than the one that explains them later.
