The outer band is the zodiac, running counter-clockwise from your Ascendant at the left horizon — the point on the eastern skyline at the moment you were born. Inside it, the numbered band is the twelve houses: not places in the sky but areas of life, which is why they need a birth time to be meaningful.
The glyphs are the bodies, each drawn at its true longitude with the degree inside its sign printed beneath it. The lines across the middle are the aspects — the geometric relationships between two bodies. Thicker means closer to exact, and closer to exact means more insistent. Solid lines are flowing aspects, dashed ones are the demanding aspects that tend to describe where the work is.
Not to get something useful. Without a time we place every planet correctly — those positions are right to a fraction of a degree — but the houses, the Ascendant and the Midheaven depend on the minute you were born, so we cast the chart for noon and label it as such everywhere it appears. We never quietly present a guessed Ascendant as fact.
Both. Placidus is shown by default because it is what most Western astrologers read, and whole-sign is computed at the same time. Above roughly 66° of latitude Placidus stops being defined at all, and there the chart falls back to whole-sign and says so on the page.
From a real ephemeris — apparent geocentric positions against the true ecliptic of date, the same method a professional chart uses. Nothing here is a lookup table of sun-sign date ranges.
On this page, nothing is attached to an account and no email is collected. The chart itself is cached by a hash of its inputs so the same moment and place is not recomputed, which is a description of the sky rather than a record about you.
No, and it never will. A chart is a structure to reflect against — a language for describing temperament, tension and timing. It is not a claim about your health, your money or your legal affairs, and you will not find one anywhere on this site.
