This document was written to describe what the product actually does, accurately and in plain language. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer for compliance with consumer contract and subscription law in every market this sells in. It is published in this state deliberately rather than withheld, because operating without a stated policy would be worse. It will be replaced by a reviewed version before any paid acquisition begins.

1. What this service is

Selene calculates astrological charts from birth data and produces written interpretations of them, for self-reflection and self-discovery. It is entertainment and reflection, not a professional service.

2. What it is not

Nothing in this product is medical, psychological, financial or legal guidance, and it must not be used as a substitute for any of them. We make no claims about future events. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency service — the AI companion will say the same thing and offer a real resource rather than an interpretation.

3. Your account

An account is created from the email address you give us and is accessed by a one-time link sent to that address. There are no passwords. Keep access to your mailbox secure, because access to the mailbox is access to the account.

4. Subscriptions and renewals

Current terms, in full:

Subscriptions renew automatically at the price stated above until cancelled. We send an email 24 hours before every charge. Charges appear on your statement as SELENE.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your subscription page or from the app, in two clicks, with no retention process. Cancelling stops the next charge; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

6. Refunds

The first charge on an account is refunded on request within 72 hours, for any reason, without a dispute. Write to help@heyselene.app. Beyond that window, statutory rights in your country apply and we will honour them; where the law gives you a longer cooling-off period than this clause, the law wins.

7. One-time purchases

Reports and PDFs are single purchases. They do not create a subscription, they do not renew, and buying one never enrols you in anything.

8. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse the service, do not resell the generated text as your own product, and do not use the AI companion to seek advice we have said we do not give. Entering another person's birth details is your responsibility — use the invite flow where you can, so they enter their own.

9. Content and ownership

Your birth data is yours. The generated readings are licensed to you for personal use. The software, the design system and the illustration pack remain ours.

10. Availability and changes

We will try to keep the service running and will not pretend that is a guarantee. If we change these terms in a way that affects what you pay or what you get, we will email you before it takes effect, and you may cancel without penalty.
